NASHUA -- William Shakespeare wrote 37 plays. In each of three performances over three days, May 22-24, the Nashua North Titan drama club will perform every one of them in a hilarious presentation of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)."

"It's 37 plays, in 90 minutes -- no problem," said Walt Freeman, the Drama Club's faculty adviser.

"Our clueless but dogged performers will take you on a whirlwind tour through all of Shakespeare's plays," Freeman promised. "Imagine Othello as a rap song; Titus Andronicus as a cooking show; and Macbeth in perfect Scottish accents. And the rest of the tragedies, comedies and histories -- even the sonets -- climaxing in an hilarious adaptation of Hamlet that includes audience participation, lusty puppets, and an encore that has to be seen to be believed."

The curtain rises at 7 p.m. at the Nashua High School North auditorium, 10 Chuck Druding Drive.

Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door. Intermission proceeds will benefit the French Honor Society and

the drama club.

"You will not see another play this year as gut-bustingly outrageous, shamelessly cheesy and fraught with peril," Freeman said. "Love Shakespeare? You'll love this. Hate Shakespeare? You'll love it even more!"

The show is rated "SH-13," for "Shakespearean Content."
