NASHUA -- The Nashua Garden Club again will hold its annual plant sale on the grounds of the Nashua Historical Society, 5 Abbott St.

The sale will be held on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Colorful annuals and herbs from Ponemah Farm, Route 101A, Amherst, will also be available for sale. An added feature this year will be the raffle of a beautiful granite birdbath valued at more than $300, donated by Swenson Granite Works of Amherst.

Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each, or six for $5. The winner will need not be present to win. Garden extras, such as hand-painted pots and posters, will also be available. The Historical Society will again hold an auction of triangular manhole covers during the plant sale at 1:30 p.m.
