NASHUA -- The Nashua Music Exchange will present a concert to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
The concert will be held May 18 at 2 p.m. in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 58 Lowell St., Nashua. Donations will be accepted at the door.
The Music Exchange, an all-female pop group, specializes in music from the '40 to the '60s and Broadway numbers.
With a theme of "Places," the concert will feature large group, small group and solo numbers. Included in the concert are numbers such as "New York, New York," "Hernando's Hideaway," "California Dreamin," "Route 66," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," and "Oh Shenandoah."
The group is directed by Lillian Goulet of Nashua. Goulet earned her master's degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She has directed musical productions with the Nashua Theatre Guild, the Peacock Players and the Junior Actorsingers.
Music Exchange members come from throughout southern New Hampshire, including Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack and Hollis. It's a nonprofit
All proceeds from donations will benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter Inc. The Soup Kitchen and Shelter has been providing many vital services since 1981 to Nashua and surounding towns.
